Showcasing SWSG designs currently being developed, constructed, or completed

The SWSG drawing boards are active in 2014 with creative and innovative designs.  We are excited  about the completion of a LEED certifiable administration/ customer service and maintenance complex in Martinsburg, West Virginia. SWSG’s design and construction management teams are also providing our clients essential upgrades to mission critical facilities across the United States.  Our cold-formed steel designs remain in demand for sport complexes, university and commercial buildings, and hospitals. Recent awards have been received for design excellence for both historic preservation and public sector work.

Peerless Rockville Award 2012: Rockville Senior Fitness Center Addition

Peerless Rockville recognized the City of Rockville and SWSG for excellence in the design and construction of a major addition to the Rockville Senior Center.

Berkeley County Operations Center

A new Berkeley County multi-complex facility is being constructed meeting LEED certification standards. The Operations Center consists of administrative and operational offices, customer service center, vehicle maintenance facility, material storage yard, employee break rooms and outdoor areas.

Mobile Central Office & Data Center

SWSG provided turn-key design and construction management services for a 20,000 SF Mobile Switch Center build-out inside an existing shell warehouse.

CFSEI Award for Innovative Design: Pittsburgh Piatt Place Apartments

SWSG received an award for Innovative Design from the Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute for the design of shear walls, load-bearing walls, and floor/roof joists with cold-form steel to convert a 4-story retail building into a 7-story residential condominium.

Signatures of Loudoun Award 2011: Purcellville Historic Roller Rink

SWSG received a Signatures of Loudoun Award for Design Excellence from the Loudoun County Economic Development Association which honors Loudoun’s diverse architectural achievements.

Purcellville Ticket Booth

Located in Purcellville’s historic district, the Town installed a ticket booth at the front of Fireman’s Field entrance gate.

Penn State Pegula Arena

Structural engineering services were provided by SWSG for the newly constructed 6,000 seat Pegula Ice Arena on the campus of Penn State University.

Norristown Switch Center Addition

SWSG provided comprehensive AE design and construction management services for 26,000 SF telecommunications central office.

Bellevue Electronics Lab and Data Center

SWSG provided comprehensive AE design and full-time on-site construction management for a 30,000 SF electronics lab – data center project.
