Ray Shaffer is President of the Firm and is responsible for the company's administration including Marketing and Business Development. Ray has over 35 years of progressive experience in engineering design, project management and construction administration.
Over the past 24 years with SWSG, Ray has overseen the design and construction of numerous projects in the commercial, government, industrial and communications industries. Specific projects include bridges, commercial and residential buildings, manufacturing plants, antennae foundations and telecommunications and 'mission critical' facilities throughout the United States and the world.
Prior to joining SWSG, P.C. Ray performed as a Structural Engineer, Project Manager, and Engineering Department Manager for such major companies as Armco, Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland; Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Sparrows, Maryland; Copperweld Corporation in Mansfield, Ohio and Sprint in Reston, Virginia.

Dave Sarver, Principal of the Firm, is Director of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Departments. Dave has 28 years of progressive experience in commercial building design, project management, construction administration, and quality assurance as it relates to the building and construction industry.
Specific project experience includes HVAC and fire protection requirements for numerous commercial and government buildings, as well as the design and construction of 'mission critical' facilities on a nationwide basis.
Prior to joining SWSG, P.C. Dave held the positions of Design and Project Engineer for Sowers, Rodes, and Whitescarver Consulting Engineers, in Roanoke, Virginia and Sprint in Reston, Virginia.

Don Gray, Principal of the Firm, is the Director of the Civil/Structural Engineering Department. With over 30 years of engineering and construction management experience, Don's expertise covers a broad spectrum of engineering practice.
Specific project experience includes engineering designs for the structural requirements of numerous churches, bridges, buildings, antennae foundations and telecommunications facilities throughout the United States and the world.
Prior to joining SWSG, P.C. Don served as Design and Project Engineer for Texaco in Houston, Texas; Ashland Oil in Ashland, Kentucky; Davy McKee Corporation in Lakeland, Florida; and Sprint in Reston, Virginia.

Gary Luzadder is an Associate of the Firm and the Director of Architecture. He is also responsible for the firm's Total Quality Management Program. Gary has over 30 years experience in all phases of architecture including design, site planning, client relations, office and construction administration, feasibility studies, specification writing, budgeting, cost control, code analysis, and on-site monitoring of construction.
Over the past 30 years, Gary has worked on projects including churches, office buildings, child care facilities, community centers, telecommunications facilities, veterinary clinics, and private residences.
Prior to joining SWSG, P.C. Gary held the position of Senior Associate with Neuman Architects in Fairfax, Virginia.

Prior to joining SWSG, Paul held the position of Chief Engineer and Electrical Engineering Department Head for the Smith Group in Washington, DC, and Armour, Cape & Pond, Inc. in Springfield, Virginia.

Ted Welti, P.E. has over 30 years of professional experience in new construction design, renovation, and construction management. He is experienced in all major structural systems: reinforced concrete, timber, structural steel, cold-formed steel and masonry.
His specific experience includes mid to high rise residential and office buildings, shopping centers, theaters, banks, transportation, medical, recreational, sanitation and industrial facility design, historic structures, bridges, piers and marinas.
Ted joined SWSG to head the structural division. Prior to joining SWSG he held management positions of Cold-Formed Steel Engineering Department Head for BEI Structural Engineers and Structural Engineering Department Head for Bengtson, DeBell, Elkin & Titus, Ltd; and was Managing Principal and Owner of Welti Engineering, Inc. for 11 years.

Debbie Robison has been with SWSG for nine years and is the Program Manager for all SWSG Historical Preservation and Restoration projects. She is responsible for historical preservation standards compliance research, project production coordination. Debbie has been involved for many years in historical research for professional as well as personal purposes.
