John Barton Payne Library ADA Addition

Warrenton, Virginia

SWSG facilitated the ADA addition & renovation design to provide ADA access to the second floor and to increase the occupancy load by creating a second exit. The addition is sympathetic to the historic character of the old library and utilizes a glass hyphen between the old and new structures to maintain the form of the historic building. The project was recognized by the Virginia Public Library Director’s Association as an “Outstanding Renovated Facility in 2007.”
